    SPECIAL FEATURES OF THE REGIONAL EDUCATIONAL SYSTEMS AND ITS SUSTAINABILITY // Pedagogical Review. 2015. Issue 1 (7). P. 102-110

    The article considers the issues of contemporary education and its regionalization. It gives the characteristics to the notion of region which includes structural components: territory, population, economy, administrative and political self-identity. The work gives the definition to the term “regionalization”, elicit the peculiarities of the regional educational system at the current stage: computerization and telecommunication, complemented by traditional information technologies, development and establishment of the market mechanisms of educational services, globality and lifelong education. Defines the regional educational system as a system object and displays its characteristic features, organizational principles. The authors justify attributes and requirements to the regional educational system sustainability. The diversity of an educational system is considered to be the essential prerequisite of its sustainability and stability.

    THE CRITERIA OF THE SUSTAINED DEVELOPMENT OF DIFFERENT TYPES OF REGIONAL EDUCATIONAL SYSTEMS // Pedagogical Review. 2015. Issue 4 (10). P. 75-84

    The article presents the materials on the research of regional educational systems’ sustainability, which also provide their characteristics. The authors perform the analysis of the kinds of sustainability criteria, define the requirements to them and their structure. The paper offers a substantiated set of criteria, which are capable of identifying the extent of the sustainability of different educational systems’ types. The complex of the defined criteria includes the following components: availability, educational service quality, educational activities efficiency, relevance. The article demonstrates the use of these components in practice. The relevance of the article is caused by the renewed strategy of the sustainable development of the society and the need for the scientific understanding of educational services’ quality stimulation, identification of the role that regional educational systems play in the development of the adequate approaches to modern educational policy.
