Lukyanchenko N.V., Zakharova L.S., Alikin M.I. Gender features of the relationship of evaluative conceptions with characteristics of self-attitude in adolescents. Pedagogical Review. 2024. Issue 2 (54). P. 168-178

Adolescence is a critical age for developing one’s own idea of social-normative assessment. This occurs in the correlation of the emerging system of one’s own assessments with different social contexts and the self-attitude of a maturing person. In line with the new direction of research on gender socialization in a transitive society, the question of the specifics of this relationship among adolescents of different sexes is of particular interest. In the corresponding study with the participation of Krasnoyarsk teenagers (N=145), the following were used: the author’s “Questionnaire of Evaluative Ideas”, “Self-Attitude Questionnaire” by V. V. Stolina, S. R. Pantileeva, “Self-Concept Scale for Children” (methodology of Piers-Harris Children’s Self-Concept Scale by E. Pierce and D. Harris, adapted by A. M. Prikhozhan). Correlation analysis of the data showed that the connection between evaluative ideas and characteristics of self-attitude in samples of girls and boys has common and distinctive features. Common ones include the connection with a positive self-attitude of the prosocial nature of one’s own assessments and the perceived assessments of friends, as well as the greater tolerance, according to adolescents, of assessments by parents and other adults of anti- and antisocial actions. Specific features include a significantly wider range of connections between evaluative ideas and self-attitude in the sample of girls and a different structure of distribution of these connections among adolescents of different sexes. For girls, the greatest number of significant connections with the characteristics of selfattitude have assessments of manifestations of social success, for boys - assessments of compliance of behavioral manifestations with ethical requirements. As well as a large number of connections between approving assessments and self-attitude, manifestations of honesty stand out in girls, and balanced behavior in situations of disagreement in boys.

Alikin M.I., Lukyanchenko N.V. Socio-psychological aspects of the relationship between anxiety and the characteristics of causal attribution in adolescent martial artists. Pedagogical Review. 2026. Issue 5 (69). P. 159-168

This article substantiates the relevance of studying the relationship between anxiety and the characteristics of causal attribution of success in adolescent athletes during sports activities. It is noted that current research on causal attribution and anxiety in athletes has limitations associated with a focus on intra-individual parameters. The article presents the results of a study whose diagnostic tools include socio-psychological indicators of causal attribution and anxiety. The "Multidimensional Assessment of School Anxiety" questionnaire, whose question wording included the topic of sports activity, and a scale questionnaire assessing the causes of success and failure in situations such as training, communication with a coach, and competitions, using the parameters "locus self," "locus coach," "stability of cause," and "uniqueness of cause," were used. The study involved 180 Krasnoyarsk adolescents involved in martial arts. It was found that adolescents' anxiety in relationships with parents and classmates is most closely related to the characteristics of causal attribution of success in athletic situations, while anxiety during athletic performance assessments is much less associated with causal attribution. Higher anxiety levels are characteristic of young athletes who predict a high probability of repeating the same reasons for their failure in their athletic future. Increased anxiety in adolescents is also associated with how atypical and different they perceive the reasons for their successes and failures to be, or how different from the majority. Martial artists with the lowest and highest anxiety scores demonstrated similar and contrasting characteristics of causal attribution. These characteristics include an optimistic causal explanation style. However, low-anxiety martial artists tend to rate the coach's role in their success relatively highly and rate the uniqueness of its causes low. Respondents with high anxiety rate the coach's role relatively low, while rating the uniqueness of their own success higher than other martial artists. The results of the study demonstrated the significance of the socio-psychological aspects of the relationship between anxiety and the characteristics of causal attribution in young athletes and can be used in psychological work in the context of issues of the socializing role of sports.
