Peshkov V.F. JUSTIFICATION OF RECOVERY MICROCYCLES IN THE STRUCTURE OF THE PREPARATORY PERIOD OF YOUNG SKIERS-RACERS. Pedagogical Review. 2019. Issue 6 (28). P. 172-177

The article presents a version of the substantiated and developed planning of recovery microcycles in the structure of the mesocycles of the preparatory period of young skiers-racers training at the stage of in-depth sports training. The means of recovery microcycles are defined, including the means of general physical and special physical training in combination with available and effective pedagogical, medical-biological and psychological means of recovery. In addition to the recovery microcycles, the necessity of additional inclusion of two combined microcycles in the structure of the mesocycles of the preparatory period, including an equal combination of developmental and recovery modes of training loads, and a complex of biomedical and psychological remedies, is shown.

Peshkov V.F., Grigoryan A.V. FORMATION OF KNOWLEDGE ON CONSTRUCTION OF RESTORATIVE MICRO-CYCLES IN COMPETITIVE PERIOD OF TRAINING CYCLE AMONG STUDENTS OF FACULTIES OF PHYSICAL TRAINING AND SPORTS. Pedagogical Review. 2020. Issue 1 (29). P. 154-161

The article presents the justification, development and results of testing of educational material on the topic “Planning of restorative means in sports” for academic disciplines of restorative and preventive orientation and disciplines on combat sports taught at universities and departments of physical training and sports. The justification of the content of the educational topic is based on scientific and methodological approaches to planning of restorative means in sports, theory and methodology of restorative and preventive means, theory and methodology of sports training. The variant of planning of restorative microcycles in the structure of competitive period of boxers training at the stage of sports specialization has been developed. The place of restorative micro-cycles in the structure of the competitive meso-cycle of boxers competitive period, percentage ratio of the volume of general physical and special physical training, technical training and the volume of application of the complex of pedagogical, medico-biological and psychological means of recovery for each of the planned restorative micro-cycles have been determined. The ratio of application of pedagogical, medico-biological and psychological means of recovery in three planned restorative micro-cycles is presented. The effectiveness of the developed planning option has been experimentally proved.

Peshkov V.F. DEVELOPMENT OF THE EDUCATIONAL THEME “RECOVERY METHODS IN PHYSICAL TRAINING OF ELDERLY MEN”. Pedagogical Review. 2020. Issue 3 (31). P. 172-184

The content of the educational theme on the problem of use of recovery methods in healthimproving physical training of elderly men at the age of 60–64 for the academic discipline “Recovery and Preventive Activity in Physical Training”, “Theory and Methodology of Recovery and Preventive Methods” taught at the Faculty of Physical Training and Sports of Tomsk State Pedagogical University has been substantiated, developed and approved. The methodology implying use of recovery methods in health-improving physical training of elderly men at the age of 60–64 has been developed and it includes: recovery methods, content of the methods, dosage of impact, place of recovery methods in a health-improving physical training system in a week period. The technique has been developed on the basis of the formed specifics of recovery effects with the use of the chosen recovery methods and their influence on slowdown of aging processes as well as load and postload effects provoked by weight-lifting and strength-endurance exercises. The efficiency of the developed methodology based on the use of recovery methods has been proved. The developed variant of methodology of health-improving physical training with predominance of weight-lifting and strength-endurance exercises is presented. This type of physical training has been chosen because of specific negative involutional ageing processes in a body of an elderly man and positive physiological influence of strength exercises on organs and functional body systems providing reduction of negative ageing processes.

Peshkov V.F. The content of the educational topic “Methods of application of methods for developing types of strength abilities of elderly men”. Pedagogical Review. 2025. Issue 4 (62). P. 38-48

The substantiation and development of the educational topic “Methods of application of methods for developing types of strength abilities of elderly men” is presented. This topic has been introduced into the educational process of the disciplines “Theory and methodology of restorative and preventive measures”, “Restorative and preventive activities in physical education” taught at the Institute of Physical Culture and Sports of TSPU. The developed methodology for applying methods of developing strength abilities includes the following elements: a set of strength training methods – concentric, eccentric and isometric methods, consistency and combination of their implementation; types of strength abilities – dynamic strength, strength endurance, static strength endurance; target muscle groups – abdominal, pelvis, pelvic floor, back and limbs. The technique is an integral part of the structure of physical education and recreation activities for older men, based on strength exercises with their own weight and optimal load parameters. The effectiveness of the developed methodology for applying methods of strength abilities was proved during a five-year pedagogical experiment, the participants of which were men in the age range from 60–64 to 65–69 years.

Peshkov V.F. Professional training of physical education and sports specialists in the field of nutrition. Pedagogical Review. 2026. Issue 4 (68). P. 94-105

Currently, sports nutrition is actively developing at the scientific, methodological, and practical levels. This is due to the trend of intensifying the training process in order to improve sports performance and the physical and health-improving process in the fitness system for weight correction and improving the health indicators of athletes. Sports nutrition considers balanced nutrition as an important means of restoring the body after training and health-improving activities of various lengths and intensities. Since inadequate nutrition significantly increases the time of post-workout recovery, it is a powerful factor in the development of overwork, negatively affects general and special physical performance, and can cause digestive system diseases. Based on theoretical and empirical analysis, it has been established that physical education and sports specialists are insufficiently prepared in the field of sports nutrition, particularly in terms of developing a balanced diet for athletes and physical education students. This has led to the identification of the relevance, contradiction, and research problem, which aims to create a methodology for developing and evaluating a balanced diet for sports and physical education. Taking into account the scientific principles of sports nutrition and the requirements for the content of professional training for sports and physical education specialists in the field of nutrition, the research has identified scientific and methodological approaches to developing the structure and content of the methodology. The basic scientific and methodological approaches are as follows: compliance with the energy value of the daily diet of athletes and physical culture practitioners to the average daily energy expenditure on training loads, other types of activity; consideration of balanced nutrition as the most important means of solving the tasks of strengthening the health of athletes, physical culture practitioners and achieving them planned sports and health results. Taking into account the scientific and methodological approaches, the structure and content of the methodology for the development and evaluation of balanced nutrition in sports and physical culture has been created. The methodology includes the following components and their content: timing of time spent on sports, physical education, and other activities throughout the day and their energy value; determining the qualitative and quantitative composition of food substances in a balanced diet throughout the day and their energy value; determining the composition of breakfast, lunch, and dinner and their energy value; determining the ratio of animal and vegetable proteins and fats, as well as slow and fast carbohydrates in the diet; analyzing the balance of energy intake and daily energy expenditure in athletes and physical education students; and formulating recommendations for adjusting the indicators to ensure a balanced diet. The methodology has been tested and implemented in the educational process at the Institute of Physical Education and Sports at Tomsk State Pedagogical University.
