713 | Self-actualization of individual potential is a condition for the teacher to achieve the goals of a developing education system. Unambiguous understanding of the nature of the potential in science is not yet developed, the majority of studies do not sufficiently take into account the requirements of activities to the teacher’s personality. Hence, the purpose of the work is to identify the essence of individual and personal teacher’s potential as the subject of his selfactualization in professional activities, taking into account the specifics of the latter. The analysis reveals the essence and structure of individual potential. It is concluded that the teacher’s potential is an individually developed complex of heterogeneous professionally significant features of the individual, which are located at different qualitative levels of actualization. The basis for its systematization is the essence and structure of the pedagogical culture, which, on the one hand, is determined by the specifics of the pedagogical activity, and on the other, is realized through the functions of this activity. The central component of the potential is personal pedagogical values. The significance of the work is connected with the substantiation of the potential by the unity of personal and activity components. The results can serve as the basis for the development of the technological aspect of the selfactualization theory. 715 | The article examines the sociocultural approach as the basis of modern education focused on the individual in the fullness of his cultural and reproductive activity. The relationship between the socio-cultural approach and the museum is investigated, which determines the change in the educational activity of the latter. In accordance with the demands of society, museum communication as a method of interaction with a person in the educational practice of the museum becomes paramount. Museum communication and the process of its transformation in the digital age is a key concept for studying the mechanisms of modernization of the educational activities of the museum. In turn, communicative processes transform the content and results of education in the museum, giving it personally meaningful meanings. The semantic field of the content of museum education becomes the basis for communication, and the museum visitor is a representative of one or another point of view on cultural phenomena. The museum, being at the junction of various sciences (pedagogy, psychology, museology, art history), sees its goal not so much in the expansion of knowledge, but in the development of the value apparatus, attitudes, and creative abilities of the individual. Consequently, the appropriation by an individual of the diversity of sociocultural experience becomes a key task of the educational activities of the museum. 720 | The issue of assessing the level of professionalism and competencies of a teacher in secondary education is discussed in the paper and the concepts of “teacher professionalism”, “teacher competence”, “assessment technologies” are presented as well. Factors indicating the need to update approaches to assessing professionalism of teacher’s are indicated. Analysis of literature review on subject “teacher’s competence” has been carried out and connection between the level of teacher’s professionalism and level of his/her professional competencies has been established. The present-day assessment technologies have been analized and described. The technologies have been categorized into 4 groups according to the method of interaction, advantages of each group have been considered. The problem has been revealed, that is the above technologies do not consider the connection between the assessment of professionalism of teaching staff with students’ learning results, thus making assessment not complete and objective. The newly developed technology using cluster analysis for assessing competencies of teachers via analysis of students’ learning results of some subjects in Unified State Exam has been presented. The following stages of the technology implementation have been described: firstly, Dataset formation for the research of students’ learning results in different subjects in different educational institutions (secondary schools); calculation of average result for each subject under study; formation of a table of average results; implementation of clustering algorithms; sorting out educational institutions into clusters according to clustering results; analysis of final results of assessment procedures within each cluster and lastly determination of teachers’ deficits. The results of the implementation of the technology have been presented in the paper on the example of the results of Tomsk region educational organizations (secondary schools) in subjects “Russian”, “Mathematics (profile level)” within the period from 2015 to 2019. The findings revealed that more than 30 % of students could not cope the above exam assignments. Later the assignments were compared with the specifications of the USE test measuring materials and «complex for students» assignments were identified for each cluster. The research results make possible identification of teachers’ difficulties in teaching different subjects, and therefore formation of an individual teacher refresher training trajectory for enhancing professional skills, especially on the part of outlining and working out the needed competencies necessary for effective operating in class within one academic discipline, the latter ultimately should affect both personal professional development of teachers and quality growth of students’ learning results. 728 | While we live in times of anthropological crisis caused by spread of technologies which do not match to people’s body experience (V. A. Podoroga), only the insufficient number of psychological studies acknowledge the phenomenon of disembodiment. Some researchers refer to it as the bodiless state, dematerialization or anonymity of a user in cyberspace. In this study we suggest a theoretical construct of disembodiment on the Internet as the effect of normative use of information technologies. It is based on the conception by the British existential psychologist R. Laing. His formula of the self: self ↔ (body-other), self ↔ (body-world), which describes a clinical way of unembodied being, broadly corresponds to both the fact of technological disembodiment and a technological way of disembodied being in Internet addiction with its inherent structuring and a non-normative border in the core of the self. We compare the disembodiment on the Internet, which leads to confusion on the boundary between the self and nonself, to the framework consequence of the normative use of information technologies in a model by E. I. Rasskazova, V. A. Emelin and A. Sh. Tkhostov – changes of psychological borders. We come to a conclusion that In the digital age the borders are set in the experience of two selves. The real self is genuinely based on the body and the virtual self isn’t, to the extent when the very expression «boundaries of a body» becomes meaningless. Indefinitely expanded blurry borders correspond to the virtualization of a user’s self. The user’s beliefs that other people and information objects are available and controllable are symptoms of changes of borders and can also describe the disembodiment. The disembodiment is also characterized by feeling of disengagement from the body, sense of security on account of anonymity, deficit of reality of the self and incompleteness and illusiveness of the online existence. 732 | The appeal to the problem of using digital educational resources in the academic discipline «Physical Culture» is associated with the need, in connection with the epidemiological situation in the world, to transfer the educational process to the online and blended learning format. Of course, the translation process began much earlier, thanks to the project “Modern Digital Educational Environment” [1], which was implemented from 2013–2020 as part of the state program “Development of Education”. Despite this, specialists in physical culture and sports of non-physical culture universities insisted that “physical culture” has a purely applied nature and cannot be carried out in a blended learning and, moreover, in an online format. At the same time, each of us understands that to engage means to act. There is no action without motivation, positive emotions and attitude. All this forms a readiness for action. Readiness is not formed without a cognitive component and an operational – activity component, that is, without a cognitive component. Consolidation of the acquired knowledge in practice, which is associated not only with motor activity, but also with other components of physical improvement. Drawing a conclusion from the above, we can say that the theoretical block of the discipline “Physical Culture” is important and its implementation is possible in an online and blended learning format. The problem of introducing digital educational resources into the process of mastering the discipline “Physical Culture” is considered. The analysis of Internet sites, applications and programs most often used by specialists in the educational process is presented. The relevance of the use of mixed learning in the development of the discipline “Physical Culture” has been revealed. A survey of physical education teachers was carried out, during which the negative and positive effects of the use of Internet technologies in the classroom of both practical and theoretical blocks of the discipline were determined. Recommendations are given to improve the effectiveness of studying the discipline in a mixed and remote format. Conclusion: when studying the discipline “Physical Culture”, the possibilities of using various digital educational resources are limitless; because they allow you to master the discipline in a mixed and remote format, design individual educational routes, independently increase the level of cognitive activity and readiness for physical self-improvement. At the same time, we believe that the best option would be to create a systemically organized virtual educational health-saving platform that will allow students to effectively build their own health-saving educational space. It should be a world where you can find everything about physical improvement and even more: materials of lectures and seminars in free permanent access, online courses, webinars, training simulators and online constructors, testing applications, a virtual library, useful articles, video classes, various applications, and messengers for feedback. 734 | The problems of professional orientation of children of primary school age are considered. For the introduction to the course of the studied problems, various views and approaches to the definition of the concept of “career guidance” and its components are described. The results of studying the level of knowledge about the professions of primary school students in St. Petersburg are presented. It is determined that the semantic content of the concept of “profession” for students is abstract and unclear, and also the lack of awareness of children in general about the world of professions is established. To obtain reliable and complete information, the results of the responses to the questionnaires of primary school students and their parents are compared. Based on the obtained research data, it is concluded that it is difficult for the participants of the experiment – younger schoolchildren to imagine themselves in the professional future. Attention is focused on the need to improve and systematize the work on the formation of complete knowledge of primary school students about professions through the implementation of an appropriate program in the course of primary school education. This program, based on the full interaction of adults and children, is focused not only on expanding children’s knowledge about the world of professions, but also fully taking into account their motives and interests, which ultimately can affect the quality of the educational process. 735 | Teaching students to develop and form educational programs is an actual task for teachers of a pedagogical university. Special requirements apply to training students in development of extra-training educational programs aimed at physical education and sports, since the quality of such programs determines not only competitive progress, but also maintaining the health of students. Training quality and methodological literacy of students in the development of modern extra-training educational programs is largely defined by the regularity of educational practices monitoring and it’s reflection in programs as methodical documents. Under Russian conditions, various federal, regional and municipal expert (and competitive) events to evaluate educational programs can be considered as the basis for monitoring. Understanding of expertise as a valuable resource to improve students’ methodological literacy is determined by the fact that at present time in the Tomsk region, expert evaluation activity of educational programs during contests and other events has become systematic for for teachers conducting pedagogical disciplines. The author’s experience in analyzing physical education and sports programs at the regional stage of the Russian National contest of extra-training general developmental programs (including different-level ones) and as a part of regional project “Every Child’s Success”, independently evaluating the quality of extra-training educational programs, made it possible to examine the methodological deficiencies of teachers working in physical education and sports. Generalization of their typical mistakes turned out to be promising for the correction of practices of teaching students to develop modern educational programs and related features. 736 | This article is devoted to considering a range of issues related to the search for ways to improve the educational process in military higher educational institutions (HEIs) through the use of training teaching methods. The relevance of this problem is determined by the specifics and the highest level of complexity of modern problematic military-political situations and trends in their development. In this regard, very high requirements are imposed on the level of morale and combat qualities of the current Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and future military personnel. Satisfaction of these requirements is possible provided that the effectiveness of the educational process in military universities is increased, including through the use of training teaching methods. The main task and goal of the educational process of a military university is the formation of a whole complex of qualities in servicemen, which, in addition to moral, professional-combat and physical, include psychological qualities: developed perception, thinking, attention, memory, emotional and volitional stability. The level of psychological readiness of modern cadets of military universities determines their ability to adequately assess any situation, including a conflict one, to navigate in it, and independently make responsible decisions. The feasibility of widespread use in the educational process of training teaching methods is due to their high potential in ensuring psychological readiness, in the formation and development of psychological mechanisms for managing their behavior in stressful situations. Due to the specific content and organizational form, training is an effective means of forming and improving professionally significant qualities of future military personnel, a means of intensive training in behavior in conflict situations. It is obvious that the systematic use of trainings in the educational process of a military higher educational institution, the provision and observance of certain conditions during their organization and implementation can be a rather effective way of increasing the effectiveness of military education in general. 737 | Professional translators should be able to effectively manage their linguistic knowledge to meet their professional needs. This involves not only acquiring relevant terminology in a particular area, but also the means of expression specific to this subject field, thus ensuring nativelike speech in a foreign language. The article posits that one of the tools which can be successfully used to achieve this goal is narrow reading. The benefits of using narrow reading by translators to expand their linguistic knowledge can be justified by its ability to: 1) highlight the preferred ways of expressing certain ideas, conveying meanings and describing situations used by native speakers; 2) ensure comprehensive knowledge and long-term retention of new vocabulary; 3) encourage the process of constructing knowledge of a foreign language. It has been concluded that the effectiveness of using narrow reading for achieving the above-mentioned aims depends on the following factors: 1) awareness of the types of linguistic means which ensure nativelike speech; 2) the ability to notice means of expression specific to a particular subject field used by native speakers to convey specific ideas and meanings; 3) the ability to adequately use these linguistic means when speaking a foreign language. The article describes an algorithm for developing the knowledge and skills required to effectively use narrow reading for expanding students’ linguistic knowledge and ensure nativelike speech in a particular subject area. It can be used as part of an English language course in an undergraduate degree in translation and interpreting. The algorithm proved to be an an effective tool for achieving the above-mentioned goals. Keywords: narrow reading, language teaching for translation, nativelike speech, noticing | 1144 | |||||
738 | The new reality of educational relations at the beginning of the 21st century is due, first of all, to the beginning of the digitalization process, which has acquired a global character. Given the fragmentation of traditional paradigms of education, the new conditions for the development of this most important sphere for society and a particular individual are discussed and subject to partly fair, but often unreasonable criticism. This indicates a misunderstanding, rejection of such a social phenomenon as digitalization, there are fears and fears of the loss of familiar life processes, including educational guidelines. The relevance of the problem under study caused the need to consider the attitude of the part of the population covered or associated with the general education system to the fact of its digitalization and the transformation of the system itself that it determed. This perception by the population of digitalization of education is manifested in the dynamics of value orientations, the emergence of new human expectations, personality experiences for their future. This factor plays a crucial role in the further development of practical psychological and pedagogical recommendations for participants in educational relations in the conditions of digitalization of general education. 739 | Fundamental importance for the development of thinking of a teenager, his intellectual education has the formation of concepts. Organization of training aimed at taking into account the laws of the process of formation of conceptual thinking is relevant in the methods of teaching natural sciences. Knowledge at the conceptual level is the knowledge of some sets of features of the concept (identification of features of the concept; establishment of the presence or absence of a certain feature in a given mathematical object; construction of objects with these features, etc.). The nature of each individual concept implies the existence of a certain system of concepts, beyond which it can not exist. Formation of the concept includes the construction of the content of education, aimed at establishing links between concepts. Establishment of a variety of relationships between concepts is especially important in the study of such a fundamental concept of mathematics as “function”, as this concept helps to identify the mutual connection and conditionality of different phenomena. Investigations show that this role of the concept of function is not always realized. Therefore, we need special educational texts that would create conditions for establishing links between concepts at each of the phases of the process of formation of the concept of “function”: motivation, categorization, enrichment, links. The motivation phase is “text – establishment of inter-subject relations”, motivating the search for a new concept that would allow to combine externally dissimilar, different situations, to find approaches to their study. Phase categorization – “text – encoding information, text – establishment of generic-specific relations, text - focus-example”, “text – relationships-mapping, analogy.” The phase of enrichment “text – establishing interdisciplinary connections, text –signs, concepts, text – systematization of concepts.” Transfer phase - “text – intra-subject links”, “text – concept application”. 741 | Multifunctionality of the modern elementary education connected to development of both thematic and metathematic, as well as the personal results, creates the problem of the educational assignments’ quality. Now the most effective assignments are those that help students to develop universal learning activities of all types, meaning that the elementary schools students learn both thematic and metathematic content. The goal of this article is to ascertain elementary school teachers capability to understand the essence of educational assignments and their preparedness to develop multifunctional assignments. The material for this research consists of elementary school teacher survey results. The method is provided by survey and theoretical analysis of scientific literature. The analysis of the data revealed that the teachers focus on the administrative function of the teacher, providing the assignment as an order that requires completion; are unable to name all the essential parts of the learning assignments and to define its functionality, thus narrowing the scope of assignment applicability in their own work. Most of the respondents rework the textbook assignments, yet the target potential remains the same, maintaining the focus on the subject results. During independent creation of the learning assignments most of the teachers have difficulties with ascertaining the target resource, providing accurate language material, organizing the completion, reflexion and evaluation, making quality formula of the assignment itself.
