Korytova Alena Igorevna, Korytova Galina Stepanovna LITERARY SKILLS: THE PROBLEM OF PSYCHOLOGICAL TESTING AND DESIGN OF EMPIRICAL RESEARCH INSTRUMENTS // Pedagogical Review. 2019. Issue 1 (23). P. 28-37

It is shown that the results of science research in the area of personalization made psychologists pay attention to the study of literary abilities of a gifted person, especially the psychological foundations and writers’ artistic creativity process. We started with the fact that nowadays researchers are searching for the integrative psychological indicator which allows to characterize a literary gifted personality. Further we describe the contribution of scholars to the development of diagnostic tools for studying psychological manifestations of literary abilities and specifics of literary and art creativity. Throughout the last century Russian and international scientists engaged in psychology have been carrying out fundamental research, including longitudinal studies on the problems of psychology of creativity, general and specific abilities. Finally, we show that one of the central problems of empirical studies in the field of psychological knowledge is the development of methods and tools for diagnosing psychological features of a creatively gifted personality. Russian psychologists developed testing techniques for diagnostics of features of creative thinking. However, researchers experience considerable difficulties in finding of external criterion. The uniform generalized validity measure for creativity has not been established yet. Special difficulties are caused by the design of psychological tests which can be used to study the nature of special abilities, literary and artistic talent. At the moment, the specialized tests for studying literary talent are not developed, therefore the problem of creating them is objectively relevant.

Tokareva Tatyana Alekseyevna MODERN REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ORGANIZATION OF THE JOINT EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES IN THE CONTEXT OF THE PRESCHOOL EDUCATION: NECESSITY AND REALITY // Pedagogical Review. 2020. Issue 2 (30). P. 79-91

The article raises the problem of the readiness of teachers of preschool educational organizations to work on the new Federal State Educational Standard, which pays great attention to the organization of the joint educational activities of a teacher with children. The results of two questionnaire surveys of kindergarten teachers are given, in the course of which it was found out, firstly, the level of the involvement of teachers in the development of educational programs, secondly, their understanding of the results of preschool education, and thirdly, the identification of priority areas for the development of a preschool child. It was found that the majority of teachers take an executive position in relation to educational programs, they are focused not on the personal development of children, but on the formation of their knowledge, skills, teachers underestimate the value of the game and research activities for children’s development. Real educational situations of the organization of the teacher’s joint activities with children are described, illustrating that teachers do not always understand how to make a child an active participant in interacting with an adult and how to get away from the total use of the authoritarian model of joint activity towards leadership and partnership. It is concluded that there is a relationship between the level of the methodological support in the kindergarten, including the position of the senior educator, and the ability of the teacher to organize educational situations of reversed and open joint action with children.

Kostyukova Tatyana Anatolyevna, Shaposhnikova Tatyana Dmitriyevna THE ROLE OF TRADITIONAL NATIONAL VALUES IN CONDUCTING TRUST AND CONSENT TO THE YOUTH // Pedagogical Review. 2017. Issue 4 (18). P. 90-95

The need for young people to develop attitudes toward public trust, harmony, and cultural dialogue is a priority for ensuring the consolidation of various sectors of civil society. The article examines the essence and interrelation of the concepts of trust, consent, multicultural education. It is proved that these are not abstract, but quite real and multifaceted categories that are not directly economic and social, but psychologically influence the social and economic realities of society. The role of national values, as a set of spiritual ideals of representatives of ethnic communities, is shown in the formation of public trust and consent among young people. It is established that universal values, the importance of which can neither be belittled nor exaggerated, can only specify a context that must be filled with a certain content stemming from the dialectics of interrelation with traditional Russian spiritual values. The article overviews the contemporary situation of the problem of polycultural education, and researches the role of education in cohesion, trust and peacefulness among the present day youth. This problem is important for many countries in the world with multinational population. The Russian state politics is aimed at harmonization of international relationships and civil unity. Due to it Russian education considers the task of building relationships with the representatives of various social, ethnic, religious communities on the basics of principles of respect and acceptance of different cultures, nations and religions. Polycultural education has a high potential to fulfill this task.

Tretyakova Tatiana E.. VISUAL STIMULI IN EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT: PHENOMENOLOGY OF EDUCATIONAL EVENT // Pedagogical Review. 2018. Issue 1 (19). P. 23-33

The article presents the results of the research conducted by the author in Tomsk State University (Russia). The work draws upon the concept of the Iconic Turn and its potential for educational communication development. Contemporary education has to be sensitive to Iconic Turn consequences and to modify its educational environment via means of visual mediation. Our research aims at deconstructing the existing system of background knowledge and convictions as the basis of self- and the word-around-us description. Such deconstruction which will result in more critical perception of the reality within and around an individual is to be conducted by ‘forced slowdown’ of behavioral automatic mechanisms created by traditional educational practices. The research is conducted within microethnographic approach which focuses upon ‘what is happening right here and right now’ in the space of inter-communication. The author conducted several educational events with the use of a visual stimulus as an agent of destructive educational mediation. The experiment outcomes provoke discussion about the gaps in educational communication emerging when visual stimulus is presented to student audience in a class. The article describes the experiment set in Tomsk State University at deconstructing the existing system of background knowledge and convictions as the basis of self- and the wordaround- us description. During the experiment the organizers carried out the ‘forced slowdown’ of nominative and interpretive processes. The aim of such strategy was to create a ‘conflict situation’ in which the gap between the stimulus itself and the pre-created perception of that stimulus has been observed. The research has resulted in two main conclusions. First, students face difficulties in expressing themselves in communication as they base their utterances on the logic of the textual mode while they deal with an artifact of the visual mode. Second, students’ communicative strategies depend not on the content of a visual stimulus but mostly on its ‘perception’. Thus, future advancement of the existing educational practices is tightly connected with the new visual mode implementation.

Ovsyannikova Oksana Aleksandrovna ANALYSIS OF THE ISSUES OF ADOLESCENTS’ COMMUNICATION WITH CINEMATIC ART ON THE BASIS OF QUESTIONNAIRE // Pedagogical Review. 2018. Issue 1 (19). P. 98-104

The problem of teenagers’ communication with film art is considered, the urgency of forming a spectator culture for the younger generation in the classroom is explained from a practical point of view. The age features of adolescent children are determined, proving the necessity and expediency of forming a spectator culture among them: the tendency to imitate the heroes of a work of art, the desire to communicate in life and in art, the importance of the social nature of activity. An important component of spectator culture is singled out – an aesthetic attitude to cinema art, which is interpreted as an integral perception of the film in the unity of its content and form. For the planning and organization of further work with adolescents in the school film club, a questionnaire is conducted, the purpose of which is to determine the problems of communication between schoolchildren and filmmaking. The questions of the questionnaire are aimed at revealing the knowledge of adolescents about cinematography, the need to communicate with the best examples of cinematography, to determine the nature of the appeal to films (cognitive, entertaining, etc.). On the basis of the analysis of adolescents’ questionnaires, a number of questions and tasks have been formulated that need to be taken into account in the development of the curriculum for the cinema club, the subject of films for pupils’ perception, lecture classes (formation of a stable need for communication with highly artistic samples of cinema, knowledge of the specifics of the cinema, its types and genres; the exclusion of the surface perception of the works of cinematography, preference of entertaining cinema genres , etc.).

The article reveals an urgent topic for modern education: the organization of children’s research work. The author has analyzed the articles in the scientific regional journals “TSPU Bulletin” and “Scientific Pedagogical Review” (Tomsk). The analysis made it possible to identify the main trends in the study of educational research activities: 1. organization of research activities in the study of various academic disciplines (physics, mathematics, literature); 2. formation of research competencies of schoolchildren, including in the context of profile education; 3. features of the organization of research activities with children of preschool and primary school age. In addition to these directions, there are other aspects of the topic. This is the experience of holding children’s scientific conferences and competitions, the application of educational research in the development of gifted children. The review of the contents of the articles allows us to draw a number of conclusions about the state of this scientific and pedagogical problem. The author showed that there is a deficit of articles on scientific directions in this field. For example, the review of articles did not reveal the existence of publications about the possibilities of applying the study in the teaching methods of certain disciplines (history, social science, technology, chemistry). These deficits open up opportunities for new pedagogical research.

Makeyev Vladimir Viktorovich, Sartakova Elena Evgenyevna MODERN MECHANISMS OF PREPARATION OF APPLICANTS FOR TRAINING IN A TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY // Pedagogical Review. 2020. Issue 2 (30). P. 137-149

Currently, in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the information society and the digitalization of the economy, the importance of comprehensive training of a motivated applicant, capable of not only successfully passing the entrance tests, but also ready to study in the educational process of a modern technical university, is growing. Various ways of building the readiness of future students to study at technical universities demonstrate the new organizational structures of the pre-university, whose activities are aimed at career guidance and the implementation of educational programs of pre-university training (specialized engineering classes, preparatory courses, etc.). The article substantiates the features of preuniversaries, the mechanisms of their creation and functioning. In modern conditions, a pre-university acts as a system of selection, accompaniment and preparation of motivated students for university entrance, widely using not only subject preparation, but also developing research work of schoolchildren, creating conditions for immersing students in the culture, educational and creative space of the university during the period of schooling; an important feature of these models is the close interaction of educational organizations of general and higher education, the wide involvement of partners and employers in this work. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the substantiation of certain characteristics of the activities of pre-university students and similar innovative educational structures for working with applicants on the basis of universities, including: a) the creation of a system of specialized training for high school students with the optimization of the implementation of educational programs towards educational institutions of higher education while maintaining the traditional forms of pre-university preparatory courses; b) the organization and support of the process of psychological, intellectual, cultural preparation of a future student for studying at a university through various forms of participation in systemic educational and educational work of pre-university students and similar models; c) ensuring early vocational guidance and profiling of students in order to support the determination of the choice of further educational paths before moving to graduation class, etc. The theoretical significance of the work is associated with the study of various preuniversity models in modern higher education institutions, the identification and description of key aspects of the activity of these structures and models.

Timoshenko Larisa Grigoryevna PROBLEMS OF REVIVAL AND PRESERVATION OF THE PEDAGOGIC POTENTIAL OF THE RUSSIAN DANCE CULTURE // Pedagogical Review. 2017. Issue 3 (17). P. 71-77

The article is dedicated to the question of uniqueness of Russian art of dance and its educational potential. Russian dance, Russian song, Russian melody – an integral part of Russian folk art culture, allow a nation living in the same territory, to realize itself as a whole, to have the same values and moral ideals. Russia is a huge multinational country, but most of its population is Russian, which in the whirlwind of political, economic and social problems of lost traditions, morality and great dance is the heritage of its people. Studying ways to preserve and promote Russian folk dance at the time when every nation defends its uniqueness and independence, is becoming the most important. New time creates new values, new tastes, trends, rhythms and preferences. The loss of the traditions of the past damages both the national culture of the country and the whole of mankind. It addresses the issue of playing on the stage of the best examples of Russian art of dance. Currently, a large part of all stage works in Russia, one way or another connected with the art of dance, are the material of modern choreography borrowed from Western culture, so the Russian dance has become an impersonal set of certain elements of dance, sometimes having nothing to do with it. As a consequence, there was a partial loss of educational potential inherent in the Russian dance. The examples of the distinctive regional forms of Russian dance, are formed under the influence of weather and household characteristics. As a result, every region of Russia has both general and its unique Russian folk dance forms. In this case, the age limit stages are practically the same, but since the mechanisms of transmission of dance experience, used in traditional culture is lost, then at this stage there is a purposeful learning and teaching dancing skills.

Dolgikh Nikolay Andreyevich, Dolgikh Mariya Nikolaevna CULTURAL CONGRUENCE AS A FACTOR OF FORMING ETHNIC COMPETENCE OF STUDENTS OF CREATIVE SPECIALTIES IN THE PROCESS OF ART EDUCATION // Pedagogical Review. 2020. Issue 2 (30). P. 66-78

Currently, there is a process of actualization of interest in ethnic roots, in native culture against the backdrop of a global trend – globalization. Ethnoculture is an important and effective means of educating and art education of a person. The principle of cultural diversity of education involves taking into account the characteristics of the native culture, using the possibilities of spiritual and material culture in the process of education and upbringing. It is especially important to consider the principle of cultural identity in the process of art education. The research problem arises from the contradiction between the presence of the pedagogical potential of ethnoculture and the insufficient development of educational programs aimed at the formation of ethnocultural competence of students of creative specialties. The purpose of the study is to identify the features of the organization of the pedagogical process in accordance with the principle of cultural conformity, to develop and test in practice an educational program aimed at forming the ethnocultural competence of students of creative specialties: future artists, designers. A theoretical analysis of the literature made it possible to clarify the concept of ethnocultural competence, to identify three levels of ethnocultural competence as an integral characteristic of a person. Empirical research methods (studying the products of students’ activities, a pedagogical experiment) were used during the testing of a program aimed at the formation of ethnocultural competence. The content of the program is based on the motives and language of ethnoculture, and the implementation of the program takes into account three levels of ethnocultural competence: axiological, active, creative, and also consists of three stages. Simultaneously with studying the basics of composition, students in theory and practice get acquainted with the symbols of Kulai culture in order to comprehend the language of visual images. As a result of mastering the first stage of the program, a value attitude to ethnoculture is formed (axiological level of ethnocompetence). The second stage is distinguished by artistic and practical activities with immersion in ethnic culture, interpretation of motives and language of ethnic culture. The third stage is the creative stage of acquiring the individual author’s style of an artist, designer working in ethno-cultural traditions. The processes of globalization contribute to a revival of interest in native culture, in ethnic culture. Today, the necessity and relevance of using educational potential of ethnic culture is obvious. In this regard, the development of educational programs aimed at the formation of ethnocultural competence of students of creative specialties is of great importance. With the successful development of the program, students have the opportunity to reach the creative level of performing author’s graphic compositions and design projects. As part of the experimental activity, the content of the programs was clarified, didactic materials were developed, visual aids were systematized (samples of Kulai metal plastic in the form of tables, digital materials). A valuable didactic tool are the samples of the best works of students.

Chugayeva Irina Grigoryevna VALUE-BASED FOUNDATIONS OF INTERACTION BETWEEN FAMILY AND SCHOOL // Pedagogical Review. 2020. Issue 4 (32). P. 37-46

The importance of identifying spiritual foundations of interaction between a family and a school in the reality of value-based pluralism in contemporary society is explained. The growing demand on education among parents to provide proper upbringing is emphasized, as well as their desire to communicate with the teachers. The research is based on the existential approach that makes it possible to describe interaction between a family and a school in the unity of their co-existence. The research results revealed the following spiritual existential units of interaction between a family and a school: love, freedom and responsibility and spiritual unity and cooperation. Interaction between a family and a school may be treated as a social unity based on love, the goal of which is to develop communicative skills and individual features necessary in social interaction. Such interaction requires understanding of the value of freedom and responsibility in continuous education by both parents and teachers. It will stimulate self-cognition, self-development and self-identification that contribute to the skills of independent choice and form the ability to bear responsibility for the choice. The relations between a family and a school are characterized by spiritual unity, in other words it is an inner link based on the feelings of love, respect and solidarity. A school in this case provides a “meeting” between adults and children that allows revealing the values and spirit of different generations. The following conclusion about interaction between a family and a school is made: it is a creative process of finding the meaning of teaching by both pedagogues and parents, where the modus of their co-existence is based on responsibility for the crucial period in children’s lives and for the process and result of their personalities shaping. Relations between teachers and parents are based on the role of common values: love in the form of acceptance of the child and his/her unique features, his/ her importance and individuality developed during social communication; freedom and responsibility via comprehension of educational situation, and spiritual unity and cooperation as togetherness based on similarity of fate, unselfishness and universality of “the good” as regulators of interaction.

Baklanova Elena Alekseyevna, Barbasoyeva Mariya Valeryevna SOME REASONS AND WAYS OF COMMUNICATIVE FAILURES’ PREVENTION IN THE PROCESS OF TEACHING RUSSIAN AS FOREIGN TO LAO STUDENTS // Pedagogical Review. 2019. Issue 5 (27). P. 117-129

The practice of teaching Russian to Lao cadets and observing the unsatisfactory learning outcomes of this group led the authors to conclude that it is necessary to identify the causes of problems and outline possible solutions. The relevance of the study stems from the need to formulate guidelines for teaching the Russian language to Lao cadets, taking into account the difficulties identified, as well as the characteristics of their native language. The theoretical significance of the work lies in the classification of errors found during the experiment and the illustration of the mechanism for the formation of communicative failures. The practical significance of the study is determined by the preparation of a number of guidelines for working with students from Laos. The authors reviewed studies that describe the Lao language, compare the typological structure of the Russian and Lao languages, and provide an account of the complications faced by the Lao when learning Russian. For a detailed analysis of the types of errors, their classification and identification of system links, an experiment was conducted. The experimental group was offered assignments of the reproductive and productive types. The results are presented in the appendix, which reflect the types of errors with examples, the number of assumptions made by each respondent and the overall result. The erroneous memorization and reproduction of vocabulary is due to phonetic interference and mechanical transfer of the principles of spelling. The low rate of vocabulary expansion is explained by the extensive synonymy of the Russian language, on the one hand, and the undeveloped lexical system of the Lao language, on the other hand. Various problems with syntax are based on the discrepancy between the fixed word order of the Lao sentence and the free word order in the Russian one, which leads to an incorrect interpretation of the subject-object relations. This results in the “intonational” articulation in oral speech and incorrect graphic articulation in writing. As a result, the totality of the above reasons leads to communication failures. The authors formulated a set of guidelines for increasing the effectiveness of training for Laotians, taking into account the complex of the causes found.

Andrienko Alena Vasilyevna, Efimenko Vladimir Nikolaevich, Efimenko Sergey Vladimirovich ARRANGEMENT OF CONCENTRATED STUDENT TRAINING AT TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY // Pedagogical Review. 2018. Issue 2 (20). P. 23-31

The paper describes the features of Federal State Educational Standard of Higher Education for training specialists for Russian road construction industry which experiences innovations in the fields of engineering, construction, repair and transport infrastructure maintenance. Modern technologies in engineering, production, and use of conventional and non-traditional materials applied in engineering and survey companies require graduates to possess not only common competence in a wide range of knowledge, but also the ability to integrate in the production process within the shortest adaptation period. The paper considers the issue of long-term adaptation period university graduates usually take for adjusting to operation in real-life special conditions (with the account of trips, field surveying and technological operation). It is noted that such long adaptation is closely related to imperfection of curricula for bachelor and specialist degree students.
