| 606 | The question of the professional preparation of the future mathematics teacher is current in modern conditions of the organization of school mathematical education. It allows him to implement a competence approach to solving the main problems of the school mathematics course. One of such problems is the organization of the educational material repetition. Future mathematics teachers should understand that not every repetition is productive and provides continuity links between different levels of learning. If the repetition is carried out in the same form as the study of the material, it becomes ineffective. Due to this fact, enriching repetition stands out among the various types of repetition. Studies show that future mathematics teachers should be ready for enriching repetition, which is that the material traversed is included in new connections, it is reconstructed and generalized. Тhe known signs of concepts and connections between concepts are subjects to revision. Future mathematics teachers’ psychological, didactic and subject knowledge about the problem needs to be integrated with the priority of using the psychological laws of personality development as the basis for organizing the learning process to prepare them for the organization of enriching repetition. In other words, it requires mastering the psycho-tactical approach to solving methodological problems. Future teachers must realize the need to organize enriching repetition, to understand what mathematical and psychological-pedagogical knowledge they need to be ready for the psychodynamic approach. Particular attention is paid to the consideration of the psychological patterns of the concepts and conditions formation that contribute to their formation. A key element of the methodological activity has been identified. It creates conditions for a competence approach to the organization of educational material enriching repetition - the development of various ways of information coding (verbal-symbolic, visual, subject-practical). Future teachers master text competence (by the example of the repetition of natural numbers) with the help of special integrated tasks, including the formulation of the problem, the psychological and pedagogical direction for learning activities, examples of solving the problem, an invitation to work. The result of this work is the creation of educational texts types and their examples that contribute to the development of encoding information methods on natural numbers and decimal fractions. In addition, they receive an example of a professional approach to solving the emerging problem in the teaching of mathematics. | 608 | The present psychosemantic study investigates visual perception of English iconic (imitative) words by Russian L2 learners. The Lexical decision task was conducted to collect the data. The participants (N = 106) were visually presented with three type of experimental stimuli: 32 iconic words divided into four groups according to their de-iconization stage (8 words per group), 32 non-iconic words and 32 non-words constructed according to English phonotactic rules. The pre-selection of iconic vocabulary into four groups was performed by the method of diachronic evaluation of the imitative lexicon. The linguistic status of iconic words was controlled for in the Oxford English Dictionary (OED), the 3d edition (section “Etimology”). The stimuli were presented visually in random order under a strict time limit. The parameter under investigation – the stage of de-iconization of an iconic word – refers to the degree of preservation of original iconic (according to Pierce) associative connection between form and meaning. De-iconization takes place under the influence of two system factors: regular phonetic changes (“distortion” of a word form) and semantic shifts (“expansion”, broadening of a word’s meaning). The findings of the study revealed that the participants need a different amount of time to recognize 1) iconic and non-iconic words, 2) iconic words at different stages of de-iconization. The least de-iconized words are characterized by slower recognition time and higher error rates than non-iconic words and highly de-iconized words, which makes them similar to non-words. It signifies a delay in cognitive recognition of these most “vivid” iconic words. Word recognition impairment may also be accounted for by the interference of the expressiveness parameter and by the semantic processing. It is assumed that the use of iconic words in language teaching contributes to vocabulary learning. This assumption is not fully supported by the empirical data of our study since deiconization is an important variable in psycholinguistic studies of this kind. The results of our research enable us to gain a better understanding of cognitive mechanisms of the perception of iconicity. | 613 | The article deals with the problems of implementation of formative assessment in secondary educational institutions and proposes their solution. Formative assessment is able to solve the problems facing the assessment system focusing on the quality of process of students learning outcomes and acquiring skills for “lifelong learning”. Formative assessment has been implemented slowly and inefficiently for more than a decade. Identifying and analyzing the reasons for the difficulties of implementation and finding the ways to overcome them is the aim of this research and determines the relevance of the theme. Theoretical and practical methods of research were used to achieve this aim. A large number of difficulties have been revealed. Some of which have been indicated by teachers participating in the program. The obtained data allow us to divide all mentioned problems into 3 levels depending on the possibilities of their solutions. It is noted that teachers solve them at the first level “classroom” but without the support at the “school” and “out-of-school” levels the process of formative assessment is discrete, fragmented or even impossible. Introductory training workshops at the “workplace” have been developed and proposed to conduct as the first step in the program of implementation of formative assessment in the educational process. The seminars (workshops) are divided into theoretical and practical parts; questions for discussion and duration of conducting vary depending on the preparedness of the audience. At the end of the workshops, teachers have initial necessary knowledge to start practical activities of formative assessment. The author emphasizes the necessity to introduce sections (or to expand them) about this type of assessment at teacher training courses and in programs of discipline about teaching methods to build a system of training teachers who own a new philosophy of assessment. | 621 | The current stage of world historical development is characterized by a tendency towards economic and cultural rapprochement between countries and peoples, which forms a certain social order in the use of functional capabilities of both native and foreign languages by carriers in order to implement strategically important life tasks: educational, industrial, everyday – household, scientific, cultural. Mastering the Russian language by a foreign native speaker should take into account the achievements of a number of branches of scientific knowledge: linguodidactics, general pedagogy and psychology, theories of speech and textual activity, the theory of linguistic personality, psycholinguistics, communication science, subject methodology (theory and practice of teaching Russian as a foreign language). Based on their own pedagogical experience in teaching Russian as a foreign language in the audience of native Chinese speakers, by systematizing and generalizing the existing developments, the authors propose an original concept, in which the types of secondary linguistic personalities are described, distinguished on the basis of the competence approach. In the course of the study, the comparative method, observation and the method of scientific description are involved. Mastering a foreign language marks a certain level of competence characteristics of an inauthentic speaker. The most “advanced” level of proficiency in Russian as a foreign language presupposes the conscious use of the resources of the language, expressed in the ability to correctly assess the situation in terms of relevance, ethics and communicative expediency of use. From these positions, a secondary linguistic personality is understood as a carrier who masters a foreign language in an authentic socio-cultural context and relying on it in order to implement the tasks of effective multicultural communication. At the same time, the carrier demonstrates a certain level of development of competencies: linguistic, linguocultural, intercultural and communicative. The results obtained in the course of the study allow us to say that in the study of the activity of a secondary linguistic personality aimed at mastering Russian as a foreign language, the most effective is the use of a competence-based approach. This approach allows us to study the secondary linguistic personality in the dynamics of the formation of its competence properties at each stage of development that we have identified: the formation of the secondary linguistic personality as a user of a foreign language, the formation of a system of special knowledge and skills in the foreign language in relation to the target language, professional knowledge of a foreign language. The presented typology of secondary linguistic personalities, highlighted on the basis of the competence-based approach, can be used in modern linguodidactics. | 628 | The paper discusses some methodological aspects of teaching the course Theoretical Physics in pedagogical universities (bachelor degree). Theoretical physics describes the most general laws of nature and allows us to form a general idea of the world. In addition, the study of sections of theoretical physics contributes to the development of a research approach among students. This discipline is the basis of the theoretical training of the future teachers of physics. In this paper, we propose methods for adapting complex lecture material to the theoretical training of future physics teachers, using as an example one of the important modules of the course in theoretical physics Quantum Mechanics. This adaptation is relevant for students of pedagogical universities, since the theoretical foundations of quantum mechanics are not easily acquired knowledge for students, but they create a good intellectual base for future teachers. The paper offers examples of tasks for practical exercises aimed at clarifying the basic theoretical concepts and consolidating the knowledge gained in lectures. Tasks involve the use of quantum operators for the study of a quantum system, using the probabilistic approach. Students are invited to determine the normalization constant of the wave function, the average value of the coordinate, momentum and kinetic energy. The described approach will allow bachelor students at the initial stage of studying quantum mechanics to learn an algorithm for solving practical problems of the discipline under study and to arrive at quite concrete physical results from abstract formulas: determining the coordinate of a quantum object, its momentum or kinetic energy. | 642 | This article discusses the system of socio-humanitarian self-management technologies aimed at forming a subjective position among the students of higher educational institutions in the implementation of educational activities and their readiness for self-development in building a learning trajectory. The purpose is to substantiate the use of socio-humanitarian technologies to improve the efficiency of students’ independent work in the open educational space of the university. The work used theoretical research methods, such as the study and analysis of psychological and pedagogical sources, and empirical, such as the study of results of activity, materials of reflection, content analysis. Based on the study and analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature on research issues, the concept of socio-humanitarian technologies has been clarified: it is a set of rationally built methods, procedures and algorithms for influencing individuals, social groups and processes with the following features: orientation towards the diversified development of the student’s personality; impact on both the individual and society; lack of a single impact in the presence of an algorithm; resource intensity, flexibility of procedures; social relations and processes aimed to obtaining humanitarian results; subject-subject orientation of relations. Several problems have been identified that have a negative impact on the successful implementation of students’ independent work in the open educational space of the university. For this purpose, a number of technologies have been identified that act as a resource for the development of students’ self-management and include support, time management, self-tutoring and the construction of an individual educational trajectory. | 647 | The national technological development strategy adopted in our country has influenced all levels of education [1]. The focus on training personnel for the digital economy has led to the opening of new specialties in universities, which has affected the work of key structural divisions of these organizations. The organization of the educational process has changed, and the projects «digital educational environment» and «digital university» have been launched. Such changes have had an impact on the defining structure of any university - the work of the enrollment board. Most universities on a par with traditional methods actively use alternative methods, among which special attention is paid to the Internet. Social networks, forums, contextual advertising, email newsletters, and other means of communication are used to create a flow of visitors to educational organizations’ websites. Growing competition every year affects the appearance and shape of the entry point of a potential listener or entrant if earlier users got to the main section of the organization’s website, today they are special landing pages created according to all the rules of design and marketing. A separate role in organizing the recruitment of listeners via the Internet is played by the «relationship management system» – a database of applications and the ability to track the status of their processing by call center employees. | 648 | The article examines the issue of the interpretation of morals, values, and laws in philosophical, legal and psychological aspects. The authors note the expediency of studying these three categories, in not the traditional pairs “morals-values”, “values- laws” and “morals-laws”. From the position of legal philosophy, morality is influenced by external influences in the form of legal norms, but law itself is determined by moral guidelines. The interrelation between these categories does not initially exist in the consciousness of an individual; it arises and develops as their self-awareness develops. The “growing” of legal and moral ideas into valuable beliefs occurs as the individual takes the responsibility for his action, which can be moral (internal, subjective) and special (external, objective). The first type consists in filling the action with personal meaning, the second – the action to be done in accordance with moral and legal norms. Understanding the complex mechanism of interrelation and mutual transitions of morals, values and laws allows us to reveal the stages of formation of systemic psychological education as moral reliability. According to the authors, moral reliability reflects the unity of the three categories and includes the mechanisms of functioning moral-semantic, cognitive, regulatory and behavioral actions in the situation of choosing a way to obtain material benefits. | 650 | The purpose of the article is justification of the systemic role of a classical university “with history” in the development of a college town as a special sociocultural phenomenon and the preservation of its cultural identity. The methodological complex, applied in the paper, includes the theory of autopoietic social systems (N. Luhmann); the concept of a traditional university as an open and closed system (M. Lenartowicz); sociocultural (R. Park), cultural (N. Fedotova, T. Ilyina, I. Grevs, M. Kagan) and historical-cultural (K. Kerr) approaches; the concept of the region as a social system (D. Dokuchaev). The paper presents an analysis of the “college town” and “a city with a university” concepts. It formulates the authors’ definition of a college town, describes the key differences between a college town and a city with a university, and demonstrates the main college town characteristics. The article demonstrates that a college town is a complex sociocultural system with a dual status (open/closed), whose identity is based on a classical university “with a history” that provides the functioning of the town’s cultural codes. Understanding a classical university “with a history” as a college town’s system-forming element provides an opportunity to understand the essence of this town type and its specific characteristics. It can be further used as a theoretical justification for the strategy of regional development. The ideas presented in this paper can contribute to the search for an authentic identity for some territorial entities, which is still in a “latent state”.
