Ledovskaya T.V. TEACHER’S COPING BEHAVIOR: RESOURCE APPROACH // Pedagogical Review. 2022. Issue 5 (45). P. 180-189

Teaching is one of the most stressful professions, and it poses numerous challenges to teachers on a daily basis. Sources of stress in teaching activities are unique to each teacher, but generally refer to organizational, interpersonal, or personal levels. The use of this or that strategy of coping with stress is often provided by the resources of the psyche, which expand the zone of human activity, help to overcome difficulties, achieve the goal. At various stages of the study, a total of 101 secondary school teachers took part in it. Correlation, structural, and comparative analyses were used in processing the study results. In general, educators demonstrate moderate use of all coping strategies. Less experienced educators deal with stressful situations with social support, and more experienced ones mobilized other strategies (positive reassessment). The psychological structure of the coping behavior of teachers turns out to be highly developed; connections of various levels of significance are formed in it. The basic coping strategies are distancing and self-control. The role of some personal resources of coping with stress in teachers has been determined: resilience and its components, personal anxiety, international locus of control, self-esteem and emotional stability. Personal qualities that influence coping strategies are a resource of predominantly avoidant and maladaptive coping strategies.

Lovkov S.G. Development of professional identity in the educational space of higher education // Pedagogical Review. 2023. Issue 2 (48). P. 130-137

Mastering a profession is the most important task in higher education. It consists of both the acquisition of professional knowledge, skills, and the formation of a special attitude to professional activity and its attributes. This attitude, called professional identity, allows you to successfully integrate professional activity into a person’s life. As a result of the analysis of modern research on professional identity, two main approaches to its consideration can be distinguished. The personal approach determines the relationship to the elements of professional activity. Within this approach, identity is interpreted as a set of cognitive, affective and motivational components. However, the most common model of professional identity development developed in this approach assesses the overall development of all three components. The social approach is based on the degree of coincidence of personal values and motives of a person with the values and motives of the professional community. This approach is rarely used in empirical studies of professional identity. Research on a student sample is practically absent. An analysis of modern empirical research has shown that the level of professional identity of senior students lags far behind the level of professionals, even with little work experience. The data obtained show that there is indeed a connection between the levels of identity development in the personal and social approaches. The nature of the relationship suggests that one of the factors slowing down the development of professional identity in a university is the lack of sufficient professional experience.

Gelfman E.G., Penskaya Y.K., Tsymbal S.N. ACCOUNTING OF VARIOUS INFORMATION CODING METHODS AS THE CONDITIONS OF ORGANIZING ENHANCING REVIVAL // Pedagogical Review. 2018. Issue 4 (22). P. 27-38

The question of the professional preparation of the future mathematics teacher is current in modern conditions of the organization of school mathematical education. It allows him to implement a competence approach to solving the main problems of the school mathematics course. One of such problems is the organization of the educational material repetition. Future mathematics teachers should understand that not every repetition is productive and provides continuity links between different levels of learning. If the repetition is carried out in the same form as the study of the material, it becomes ineffective. Due to this fact, enriching repetition stands out among the various types of repetition. Studies show that future mathematics teachers should be ready for enriching repetition, which is that the material traversed is included in new connections, it is reconstructed and generalized. Тhe known signs of concepts and connections between concepts are subjects to revision. Future mathematics teachers’ psychological, didactic and subject knowledge about the problem needs to be integrated with the priority of using the psychological laws of personality development as the basis for organizing the learning process to prepare them for the organization of enriching repetition. In other words, it requires mastering the psycho-tactical approach to solving methodological problems. Future teachers must realize the need to organize enriching repetition, to understand what mathematical and psychological-pedagogical knowledge they need to be ready for the psychodynamic approach. Particular attention is paid to the consideration of the psychological patterns of the concepts and conditions formation that contribute to their formation. A key element of the methodological activity has been identified. It creates conditions for a competence approach to the organization of educational material enriching repetition - the development of various ways of information coding (verbal-symbolic, visual, subject-practical). Future teachers master text competence (by the example of the repetition of natural numbers) with the help of special integrated tasks, including the formulation of the problem, the psychological and pedagogical direction for learning activities, examples of solving the problem, an invitation to work. The result of this work is the creation of educational texts types and their examples that contribute to the development of encoding information methods on natural numbers and decimal fractions. In addition, they receive an example of a professional approach to solving the emerging problem in the teaching of mathematics.

Ansimova N.P., Pryadilina A.A. Positive loneliness as a means of solving psychological problems in adolescence // Pedagogical Review. 2024. Issue 3 (55). P. 100-111

The problem of experiencing loneliness in adolescence is considered, in particular, attention is drawn to its constructive nature. Putting forward their own working definition of the concept of “loneliness”, which refers to a mental state, the authors formulate the idea of the presence of a so-called field of loneliness, which includes zones of fencing and exclusion. The key to the work is the concept of positive loneliness, as one of the types of loneliness associated with a person’s internal work on his own experience, namely with its processing and integration. The purpose of the study was to identify the possibilities of experiencing positive loneliness as a potential means of solving such psychological problems in adolescence, such as problems of self-attitude, searching for the meaning of life and emotional well-being. Based on the results obtained during testing and processed using methods of descriptive statistics and correlation analysis, the authors draw conclusions about the characteristics of the experience of loneliness, including positive ones, among high school students, university and college students. The study showed that the experience of positive loneliness can determine the significance or insignificance of certain life meanings and the desirability of various emotional experiences, and this, in turn, can help solve problems of finding the meaning of life and emotional well-being.

Gritskevich N.K., Savel’yeva O.V. SUPERVISION OF TEACHER’S PERSONAL IDENTITY DEVELOPMENT AT DIFFERENT STAGES OF PROFESSIONAL FORMATION // Pedagogical Review. 2019. Issue 3 (25). P. 173-181

The article presents the methodological justification and experience of the program of development of personal identity of teachers at different stages of professional development. As part of the program, the content of the process of development of personal identity of teachers at each stage of professional development was built on a new way of interaction for these groups of teachers – supervision. In the process of psychological and methodological support, it is important to motivate teachers to self-knowledge through self-identification, encouraging to identify personal characteristics and needs arising in the context of professional activity; to give them the opportunity to realize themselves as a person, to understand their place and role in this world in general and in the profession in particular; to provide a choice that would help them become an active subject, the creator of their own destiny, their life, their way in professional activity. At the same time, in the framework of supervision, personal development and professional growth are considered as the ascending vector of self-change of the teacher’s personality (and personal identity in particular) on the basis of awareness of their needs and desires, the most complete disclosure of abilities and potential opportunities in professional activities, accompanied by quantitative and qualitative, meaningful and structural changes.

Vilkova L.V. IMPLEMENTATION OF FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT OF STUDENTS’ EDUCATIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS: PROBLEMS AND SOLUTION // Pedagogical Review. 2019. Issue 4 (26). P. 7-13

The article deals with the problems of implementation of formative assessment in secondary educational institutions and proposes their solution. Formative assessment is able to solve the problems facing the assessment system focusing on the quality of process of students learning outcomes and acquiring skills for “lifelong learning”. Formative assessment has been implemented slowly and inefficiently for more than a decade. Identifying and analyzing the reasons for the difficulties of implementation and finding the ways to overcome them is the aim of this research and determines the relevance of the theme. Theoretical and practical methods of research were used to achieve this aim. A large number of difficulties have been revealed. Some of which have been indicated by teachers participating in the program. The obtained data allow us to divide all mentioned problems into 3 levels depending on the possibilities of their solutions. It is noted that teachers solve them at the first level “classroom” but without the support at the “school” and “out-of-school” levels the process of formative assessment is discrete, fragmented or even impossible. Introductory training workshops at the “workplace” have been developed and proposed to conduct as the first step in the program of implementation of formative assessment in the educational process. The seminars (workshops) are divided into theoretical and practical parts; questions for discussion and duration of conducting vary depending on the preparedness of the audience. At the end of the workshops, teachers have initial necessary knowledge to start practical activities of formative assessment. The author emphasizes the necessity to introduce sections (or to expand them) about this type of assessment at teacher training courses and in programs of discipline about teaching methods to build a system of training teachers who own a new philosophy of assessment.

Burtovaya N.B. THE INTERNAL PSYCHOLOGICAL CONDITIONS OF PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY // Pedagogical Review. 2016. Issue 1 (11). P. 21-25

The characteristics of a professional and his activity consists of examining a person as an integrated structure, i. e. it is important to know his individual and psychological characteristics, as well as his socially oriented, activity-oriented or subjective personalityoriented direction. In the process of professional formation at each stage, from the moment of self-determination, during the profession choice period and up to the professional formation, as well as changing profession, one must take into account the structural components of his personality and his characteristics as the subject of activity – the internal components of the professionality system organization. Along with this, it is important to identify psychological conditions of professional activity, ensuring its successful development and implementation. Thus, the activity of a professional who is considered to be the subject of this activity involves considering the internal (psychological) conditions.

Galkina T.V. REVIEW OF ILLUSTRATIVE SPACE OF A. M. VOLKOV’S FAIRY TALE “WIZARD OF EMERALD CITY” IN THE PUBLICATIONS OF 1939–2021 // Pedagogical Review. 2022. Issue 3 (43). P. 142-151

This article is devoted to the review of the illustrative space of the fairy tale of one of the most popular Russian children’s writers Alexander Melentevich Volkov «The Wizard of the Emerald City» on the basis of the memorial collection of the children’s museum “Magic Country” named after A. M. Volkov of the Tomsk State Pedagogical University, as well as Internet publications for 1939 to 2021. As a result of this study, the names of 80 artists who illustrated the fairy tale for 82 years were revealed. Analysis of the illustrative space of each book showed the crucial importance of the correct choice for illustrations of the basic events of the plot of the fairy tale, the preservation of the logic of the development of the main storyline, the need to use additional illustrations for a detailed study of the climactic scenes, as well as portraits of the characters. The completeness of the saturation of the illustrative space of the tale, measured by the number of illustrations, ranged from zero to illustration on each page. At the same time, the dynamics of visual content developed from one illustration on 4–7 pages of text to an illustration on each spread (2014, 2020). Color preferences have evolved from black and white book graphics to a variety of watercolor technologies in the household, species, landscape, portrait and animalistic genres. The problem of correspondence of the author’s vision and artistic embodiment in the space of a children’s book is one of the most important problems not only of scientific research, but also of figurative and cognitive education of children.

The experience of introducing the results of scientific research of students to organize extracurricular educational and research activities of students in biology is described. It is shown that this is one of the main factors contributing to the study of students in schools. This is due to both age-related characteristics and the material and technical organization. An example of the implementation by students of the 5th grade of elementary basic research skills in botany when studying the topic “Germination of seeds and seedling growth” using the results of scientific studies of students is given. A workbook has been developed in which a student can record the results of his research, repeat and consolidate theoretical material. A workbook is an integral part of the developed extracurricular activities, can be used by a biology teacher to timely control the level of assimilation of the material and independent activity of all students. Analysis of the results of the pedagogical experiment showed that the level of knowledge of students in the experimental group was higher than in the control group by 28%, while the students of the experimental group received elementary research skills. The introduction of the results of their own scientific research for the organization of extracurricular educational and research activities of schoolchildren in biology allows students at the graduation to be ready theoretically and practically both in subject areas and in the teaching field. This contributes to the development of students’ skills of independent research and its use in their future pedagogical activities.

Sheynov V.P., Dyatchik N.V. PSYCHOLOGICAL STATES AND PROPERTIES OF THE PERSONALITY HAVING DEPENDENCE ON THE SMARTPHONE // Pedagogical Review. 2021. Issue 6 (40). P. 225-235

Smartphone addiction has become common, especially among young people. Previous studies have established a high prevalence of this addiction and the fact that the victims of this addiction experience suffering: from poor sleep quality (and even insomnia), depression, anxiety, stress, experience negative emotions, and are also characterized by a significant decrease in physical activity. The prevalence of smartphone addiction and its negative consequences dictate the need for a comprehensive study. The article examines the manifestations of the phenomenon of smartphone addiction in medical college students. It is shown that the psychological mechanism of the emergence of addictions is described by a general model of psychological impact. It was found that that smartphone addiction is positively associated with loneliness, aggressiveness, bad mood, with the female gender, and negatively – with communicative competence, persistence, self-control, self-regulation, as well as with age. The connections identified in the article with loneliness, aggressiveness, self-regulation, and communicative competence generally correspond to the nature of the correlations established in foreign studies. New for both domestic and foreign studies are the negative links of dependence on smartphones with persistence and self-control revealed in the article. Based on the results of this study, recommendations were developed (based on the obtained empirical data) for college students to minimize the negative impact of smartphones on their mental and physical health. It is recommended in the process of educational work with students to explain the negative consequences of dependence on smartphones and the value of direct, live communication with their environment.

The ability to innovate is becoming a necessary professional competence in many areas of the Russian economy. Ongoing projects aimed at improving the efficiency of individual industries and areas of production, science, education, do not always take into account the issue of psychological readiness of specialists for changes, as an important component of personal identity. In this article, the authors analyze the teacher’s psychological readiness for professional activities in the new conditions as one of the indicators of introduced innovations in the Kiselevsky urban district of the Kemerovo region as part of the federal project “Every Child’s Success” of the national project “Education” (target model for the development of the regional system of additional education for children). Against the background of the ongoing set of measures to form modern managerial and organizational-economic mechanisms in the system of additional education of children in Kuzbass, professional life activity (professional identity) of teachers is undergoing drastic changes. Participating in innovations, many educators in a personal plan (personal identity) experience a state of unsteadiness and instability. There was a need to study the psychological readiness of specialists in the education, culture and sports system to work in the innovation mode. The authors described the necessary conditions in the article and justified the importance of studying the personal identity of a teacher working in an innovative mode. As a result, a study of the psychological readiness of teachers and heads of organizations of additional education, culture and sports of the Kiselevsk urban district made it possible to evaluate them as subjects of innovative activity, determine the levels of psychological readiness, highlight qualitative characteristics and take into account the data obtained when making managerial decisions.

Strizhova I.V., Strizhova M.E. Morals, values and laws: philosophical, legal and psychological aspects // Pedagogical Review. 2024. Issue 3 (55). P. 136-145

The article examines the issue of the interpretation of morals, values, and laws in philosophical, legal and psychological aspects. The authors note the expediency of studying these three categories, in not the traditional pairs “morals-values”, “values- laws” and “morals-laws”. From the position of legal philosophy, morality is influenced by external influences in the form of legal norms, but law itself is determined by moral guidelines. The interrelation between these categories does not initially exist in the consciousness of an individual; it arises and develops as their self-awareness develops. The “growing” of legal and moral ideas into valuable beliefs occurs as the individual takes the responsibility for his action, which can be moral (internal, subjective) and special (external, objective). The first type consists in filling the action with personal meaning, the second – the action to be done in accordance with moral and legal norms. Understanding the complex mechanism of interrelation and mutual transitions of morals, values and laws allows us to reveal the stages of formation of systemic psychological education as moral reliability. According to the authors, moral reliability reflects the unity of the three categories and includes the mechanisms of functioning moral-semantic, cognitive, regulatory and behavioral actions in the situation of choosing a way to obtain material benefits.

Martynova L.N. PEDAGOGICAL CONDITIONS OF INCREASE OF LEVEL OF MUSICAL CULTURE OF FUTURE TUTORS OF PRESCHOOL EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS // Pedagogical Review. 2017. Issue 4 (18). P. 142-148

One of the urgent tasks identified in the federal state educational standard of secondary special education is the study of the possibilities of secondary vocational schools in development of musical culture among future teachers of pre-school educational organizations. Materials of studying of levels of proficiency of future teachers of the preschool educational organizations are provided. According to the results of the diagnosis, the predominance of a low level of musical culture among the majority of students was recorded. The existing and established pedagogical conditions that envision the enrichment of the content of musical education with elements of classical music have changed significantly. The introduction of additions to the content of musical education of students in the implementation of a number of pedagogical conditions will significantly improve the level of musical culture of future teachers of pre-school organizations. Familiarizing future teachers with classical music is a complex process that requires a certain experience of perception, certain knowledge, zeal, attention. It should be noted that contrary to the expressed opinion about “low clarity” and “uninteresting” of classical music, it must be emphasized that classical music is always modern, interesting, it concerns the listener, does not leave indifferent, gives rise to discussion. In the conducted research we enriched the content of the discipline “Theory and technique of musical education with practical work” with pedagogical with musical culture.

Flaksman M.A., Sedelkina Y.G., Korotaevskaya E.A. PSYCHOSEMANTIC INVESTIGATION OF VISUAL PERCEPTION OF ENGLISH ICONIC WORDS DEPENDING ON DE-ICONIZATION STAGE // Pedagogical Review. 2021. Issue 1 (35). P. 122-129

The present psychosemantic study investigates visual perception of English iconic (imitative) words by Russian L2 learners. The Lexical decision task was conducted to collect the data. The participants (N = 106) were visually presented with three type of experimental stimuli: 32 iconic words divided into four groups according to their de-iconization stage (8 words per group), 32 non-iconic words and 32 non-words constructed according to English phonotactic rules. The pre-selection of iconic vocabulary into four groups was performed by the method of diachronic evaluation of the imitative lexicon. The linguistic status of iconic words was controlled for in the Oxford English Dictionary (OED), the 3d edition (section “Etimology”). The stimuli were presented visually in random order under a strict time limit. The parameter under investigation – the stage of de-iconization of an iconic word – refers to the degree of preservation of original iconic (according to Pierce) associative connection between form and meaning. De-iconization takes place under the influence of two system factors: regular phonetic changes (“distortion” of a word form) and semantic shifts (“expansion”, broadening of a word’s meaning). The findings of the study revealed that the participants need a different amount of time to recognize 1) iconic and non-iconic words, 2) iconic words at different stages of de-iconization. The least de-iconized words are characterized by slower recognition time and higher error rates than non-iconic words and highly de-iconized words, which makes them similar to non-words. It signifies a delay in cognitive recognition of these most “vivid” iconic words. Word recognition impairment may also be accounted for by the interference of the expressiveness parameter and by the semantic processing. It is assumed that the use of iconic words in language teaching contributes to vocabulary learning. This assumption is not fully supported by the empirical data of our study since deiconization is an important variable in psycholinguistic studies of this kind. The results of our research enable us to gain a better understanding of cognitive mechanisms of the perception of iconicity.

Psychological well-being is an indicator of the realization of the potential of personal development. Psychological well-being is associated with the activity of the subject and requires special attention to the content of the activity. Age-psychological specifity of adolescence and youth is defined by selfdetermination and self-realization processes and personal subject’s activity becomes an important factor. Volunteer activity as a voluntary activity to help those in need provides ample opportunities for self-realization of the individual. The purpose of this research is to study the characteristics of the psychological well-being of adolescents with different experience and motivation for volunteering. The study involved 329 adolescents aged 14-18, of which 57.4 % were boys and 42.6 % were girls. The main hypothesis of the study was the assumption that the participation and motivation of youth volunteering are associated with a higher level of psychological well-being. Three methods were used: E. Clary’s Volunteering Motivation Questionnaire, the Warwick-Edinburgh Psychological Well-Being Scale, and the S. Lovibond Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale. The results obtained allowed us to draw the following conclusions. Various components of psychological well-being are associated with the experience and motivation of volunteering. Gender differences were found in the nature of the relationship between the level of psychological well-being and participation and motivation for volunteering.

Esipenko E.A., Beloplotova K.E., Polyakova O.R. EMOTIONAL, COGNITIVE AND SOCIAL FACTORS RELATING TO THE EFFICIENCY OF SOLVING SPATIAL TASKS // Pedagogical Review. 2020. Issue 3 (31). P. 201-207

Psychologists are interested in the study of spatial and general cognitive abilities. Known that they can predict success in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) areas. Nevertheless, a comprehensive study of the influence of various factors on spatial abilities was not held. To examine the factors that can be associated with solving spatial problems, the study was conducted on a Russian-language sample, which included 161 young men and women from different study majors (STEM and non-STEM). Studied factors were emotional, cognitive and social. A feature of the study is that a comprehensive examination of factors was carried out in the study of spatial tasks such as “Mechanical reasoning and spatial relations”, “Paper folding”, “Pattern assembly”, “Shape rotation”. As a result of the regression analysis (with the inclusion of all the studied factors), it turned out that for each spatial problem the presented models were significant. All models have the same percentage of explained variance are approximately 20%. Non-verbal intelligence makes a great contribution to “Mechanical reasoning and spatial relations” and “Shape rotation”, and also for non-verbal intelligence, working memory, and the direction of learning make a great contribution to “Pattern assembly” and “Paper folding”. Emotional and social factors were not significant. Findings will enable a better understanding of what contributes to spatial abilities.

Gazizov T.T., Gorodovich A.V., Shelupanova P.A. EXPERIENCE OF USE OF LANDING PAGES AT THE UNIVERSITY // Pedagogical Review. 2020. Issue 4 (32). P. 77-82

The national technological development strategy adopted in our country has influenced all levels of education [1]. The focus on training personnel for the digital economy has led to the opening of new specialties in universities, which has affected the work of key structural divisions of these organizations. The organization of the educational process has changed, and the projects «digital educational environment» and «digital university» have been launched. Such changes have had an impact on the defining structure of any university - the work of the enrollment board. Most universities on a par with traditional methods actively use alternative methods, among which special attention is paid to the Internet. Social networks, forums, contextual advertising, email newsletters, and other means of communication are used to create a flow of visitors to educational organizations’ websites. Growing competition every year affects the appearance and shape of the entry point of a potential listener or entrant if earlier users got to the main section of the organization’s website, today they are special landing pages created according to all the rules of design and marketing. A separate role in organizing the recruitment of listeners via the Internet is played by the «relationship management system» – a database of applications and the ability to track the status of their processing by call center employees. This paper presents the experience of Tomsk universities in automating the work of the admissions Committee, shows the result of using landing pages for recruiting students for educational programs, as well as students for additional education programs.

Modern education poses the challenge for the pedagogical community to find the best ways to develop, educate, and socialize children with disabilities. Timely started and properly organized work with a child with limited health abilities helps prevent or mitigate secondary in nature violations. A significant part of such children, despite the efforts made by society to educate them, becoming adults, is unprepared for integration in society. In the framework of the implementation of inclusive education, it is especially important to create conditions for the elimination of various barriers in order to maximize the support of each student and maximize their potential. Since speech development is one of the central tasks of the entire education system, it remains an important link in the overall development of the child’s personality. The main feature of the development of speech in children of primary school age is its conscious assimilation. Children master sound analysis, learn grammar rules for constructing sentences. Younger school age is closely related to preschool. Despite the emergence of a new leading type of activity – educational, primary schoolchildren assimilate the material more efficiently provided that game forms and methods are used. According to the theory of L. S. Vygotsky in a game, all internal processes manifest themselves in external action, since the child relies on real actions whose meaning is divorced from things. The game requires the child to overcome immediate, momentary desires, to obey the rules consisting in fulfilling the role, it creates a zone of proximal development, changes the consciousness of the child as a whole. Developing speech, the child forms the ability to combine, act purposefully, expresses his ideas in words. Also, according to the concept of L.S. Vygotsky, the development of speech directly affects the development of children’s imagination. Children with a delay in speech development, as a rule, experience difficulties in the development of imagination.
